Scripps College is a top-ranked liberal arts college and the women’s college of The Claremont Colleges. Founded in 1926 by Ellen Browning Scripps, the College has provided exceptional education to equip talented students intellectually and morally with the skills, experience, and discernment to lead satisfying and productive professional and personal lives. Current enrollment of degree seeking undergraduates is approximately 980 women from 47 states and 21 countries. Roughly 36% are students of color. There are 88 full-time faculty members, 100% of who possess Ph.D. or appropriate terminal degrees. For the 2012-2013 fiscal year, total revenues and expenses were $59.6 million and $58.1 million, respectively. As of June 30, 2013, total net assets were $392.9 million, of which endowment funds totaled approximately $282 million.
