The Churchill School and Center is a learning community dedicated to helping students with language-based learning differences become confident, self-advocating learners. At The Churchill School, all children are capable of achieving their goals in life when provided the support and nurturing they need. Our mission as a K-12 coeducational college preparatory day school,  "is dedicated to working collaboratively with students, educators, and families to help children with language based learning disabilities realize their full potential.”

Our students:
  • - come from all five boroughs of New York City, Westchester, Long Island, and New Jersey
  • - have average to above average cognitive ability
  • - have been diagnosed with a specific language-based learning difference
  • - require a smaller, more individualized and supportive learning environment in order to achieve
  • their potential

Our classes/staff:
  • - each class has 12 students
  • - each class of 12 students has a head teacher and assistant teacher
  • - head teachers have a Masters degree in Special Education and/or a content/subject area
