The Wakefield Public Schools iscomprised of eight facilities: the Doyle Early Childhood Center, fourelementary schools – Dolbeare, Greenwood, Walton, and Woodville,  – as well asthe Galvin Middle School and Wakefield Memorial High School and POST Academy. The school systemis governed by a seven member School Committee. The Superintendent of Schoolsis responsible for overall administration of the schools and implementation ofSchool Committee policies.   Wakefield has an enrollment of approximately 3500 students.
