New Canaan Country School, a Pre-K through Grade 9 co-ed, independent day school, serves approximately 570 students from diverse backgrounds living in 18 different towns/cities across Fairfield and Westchester counties. Responsibilities
- Conduct a standard load (typically 4) of French courses in Grades 7-9, including planning, instruction, assessment, and reporting as well as being accessible and available to students for support during designated time
- Potentially teach a section of Grade 7 Spanish
- Serve as an advisor to a group of Upper School students within a grade-level advisory team
- Serve as head or assistant coach to Upper School teams in 2 seasons
- Fulfill additional student-facing responsibilities of Upper School faculty member including recess, study hall, clubs and multi-day trips
- Engage in faculty meetings and professional development programs at department, team, division and whole school levels
