The Cambridge School of Weston (CSW) seeks a Communications Coordinator to join our school’s Office of Marketing and Communications. The Communications  Coordinator’s role is comprised of three main responsibilities: managing the creation,  scheduling, and tracking of all school email communications (inclusive of event invitations, community announcements, and newsletters); managing event registrations; and overseeing the production and distribution of printed materials for school-wide initiatives, events, and promotions. Reporting to the Director of  Marketing and Communications, the Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Assistant Director of Communications, adhering to brand standards and ensuring that communications needs are met in a timely, thoughtful, and organized manner.  

Specific Responsibilities for this Position Include:  

  • Creating and managing the annual school communications calendar
  • Sitting on the school’s Calendar Committee 
  • Drafting, scheduling, and sending event save-the-dates, invitations, and reminders (print and electronic) 
  • Writing clear and compelling copy for announcements, news updates, and event descriptions; editing provided copy as needed 
  • Serving as the lead creator for the weekly community newsletter to parents, faculty/staff, students, and alumni 
  • Managing registrations for parent/guardian, alumni, and donor events 
  • Project managing the production of printed materials such as brochures, invitations, stationery, event programs, maps, postcards, and handouts 
  • Designing marketing and communications collateral in adherence to brand standards, as needed 
  • Maintaining a network of freelance designers and printers
  • Managing the design and ordering of brand-aligned promotional items
  • Offering event support, as needed 
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Degree: BA

Minimum Experience: 1-3 Years

 
Qualifications:

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience 
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an eye for detail
  • Experience with email marketing tools (experience with MailChimp a plus)
  • Familiarity with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) and print production processes 
  • Excellent visual content creation skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of people. 

The ideal candidate will be creative, solution-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
