While this position could be located at either campus, our current need is for our Upper School campus providing support to the 9-12th grade students.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
● Assisting students both individually and in small-group settings by implementing evidence-based interventions to meet accommodations to support student learning profiles.
● Serve as consulting support to faculty regarding learning differences and strategies to shore up strengths and to address weak areas with appropriate strategies, resources and accommodations.
● Maintaining student-data files, developing student learning profiles, and serving as a liaison between families and outside providers to coordinate care.
● Design and maintain dynamic student learning support plans and guide teachers and parents to interpret and implement these plans.
● Analyze neuro-psych assessments and work with various teams (administrators, teachers, grade-level) to design support plans accordingly.
● Support Admissions, as needed, with transfer and new student applicant assessments and reading through students’ admissions files to provide additional perspective
● Tracking and supporting students with identified learning/attention differences in collaboration with faculty and administration.
● Review caseload weekly with the grade-level Deans and communicate needs and developments with students, families, faculty, and administration as requested and needed.
● Ensure student access to needed standardized testing accommodations and coordinate schedule for the ERB for students with accommodations.
● Responsible for supporting the offering of faculty professional development, both formally and informally, in the areas of learning differences and differentiated curriculum that best serves the student body
● Organizing and leading Student Support Team (SST) meetings.
● Examination planning, organization and management for students with learning accommodations, including proctoring and/or arranging for proctors for quiet space testing.
● Researching and implementing best practices to support students and educate families regarding diagnosed learning needs.
● Collaborating with the Counseling Department for students with both learning differences and social-emotional challenges.
● Attend student/parent/faculty meetings as required.
● Engaging in regular supervisory duties including drop off, recess, lunch and pick up (for K-8 campus)
● Attending regular faculty, grade-level, and weekly department meetings
● Attend and participate in various school events as needed, including but not limited to: Open Houses, Curriculum Nights, Admissions events, assemblies and other special events
● Being a positive and contributing member of the Bentley community
● Communicating effectively with parents through conferences, and report writing
