Job Description/Responsibilities:

Berkshire School seeks an Assistant Director of Admission to join our dynamic Admission team. The Assistant Director of Admission will support admission outreach, sustain and strengthen current admission initiatives, and support office operations. Candidates must exemplify their ongoing commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity in their work. In addition to the responsibilities in the Admission Office, candidates should expect to be actively involved in all aspects of the School's programs, including residential duties and participating in the school's athletic and/or co-curricular programs as a coach or program director.  A Bachelor's degree is required. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes year-round housing plus utilities, and meals when school is in session. Health and retirement benefits, including TIAA-CREF, are part of the compensation package.  Funding exists to support advanced degree work, as well as participation in professional growth opportunities such as conferences and workshops.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interview and assess interested students and their families seeking admission to Berkshire School and make recommendations regarding admissibility 

  • Attend school fairs, visit feeder schools and attend other admission events  

  • Communicate thoughtfully and in a timely manner with students interviewed and their parents  

  • Contribute to the planning of events and outreach focused on enrolling mission-appropriate students  

  • Represent the School and its mission with enthusiasm and professionalism in all communications with external stakeholders  

  • Other duties as assigned based on needs of the School and experience
