Our mission is to promote dialogue among people of color, provide expertise and resources to educational professionals, develop cultural competence in adults, and foster leadership in adults of color. We are excited to have developed a strong community, a sound footing in multiple schools and a dedicated board that are able to realize a vision of providing experiences for BIPoC independent school educators that extend and enhance their feelings of belongingness.

Leading from a place of strength, we are hosting United in Purpose: an Evening of Community, Justice and Joy on Friday, December 5, at Sacred Heart School in Atherton, CA. We are excited to invite independent school educators of color for an evening of learning, connection, and rejuvenation. To do so, and to minimize the financial impact on individual educators and to ensure that the event is accessible to as many individuals as possible, we are asking organizations in our community for support. Therefore, we would like to ask you to consider becoming a financial sponsor of this NoCA PoCIS event. Your tax-deductible monetary contribution would help pay for our keynote speaker, Charles Vogl, and lower ticket prices to make sure all educators in our independent school community can attend. As a token of our appreciation, we are excited to recognize your contributions through the levels of sponsorship for the event, attached. We would also feature your organization in the promotional materials for the event, and on our website.

The purpose of this event–and of NoCA PoCIS–is to build connection, community, and cultural competency among people of color from Bay Area Independent Schools.
