POSITION: Upper School Music Teacher

WORKING HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; Wednesday: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Friday: 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. Additional evening or occasional weekend hours may be required for concerts, rehearsals, and performances.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The American School of Brasília (EAB) is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and experienced Band, Choir, and Music Teacher to join our Upper School faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, with expertise in both instrumental band and vocal music, and the ability to teach students with a wide range of musical experience, from beginners to advanced musicians. This role includes teaching a variety of music courses, such as band, choir, and music appreciation, as well as directing school ensembles and contributing to major performances and productions, including school musicals. The successful candidate will create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where students can develop their technical skills, creativity, confidence, and appreciation for music.

The Upper School Music Teacher will inspire students to grow as musicians and develop a lifelong appreciation for music through a diverse and engaging program. This is a full-time position that involves close collaboration with other educators to strengthen EAB’s music program, expand performance opportunities, and foster a vibrant musical community across the school.
