THE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS DEPARTMENT: The department is one of the largest and oldest International Business programs in the country with nearly 450 undergraduate students in the concentration. There are also students concentrating in International Business in the graduate programs. Both the faculty and students are highly diverse groups of people, reflecting the special nature of the San Francisco Bay Area and the Pacific Rim.
THE COLLEGE: The College of Business is accredited by the AACSB at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The college offers graduate and undergraduate degrees and serves approximately 1,000 graduate and 5,000 undergraduate students. Courses are offered both day and evening. There are approximately 90 full-time tenure-track faculty members.
THE UNIVERSITY: San Francisco State University, a member of the California State University system, serves a diverse student body of almost 27,000 undergraduate and graduate students from the U.S. and almost 110 countries around the world. The mission of the University is to promote scholarship, freedom, human diversity, excellence in instruction, and intellectual accomplishment. SFSU faculty members are expected to be effective teachers and demonstrate professional achievement and growth through continued research, publications, and/or creative activities. Part of the College of Business mission is to ensure that the international content of the programs and courses reflects the increasingly global scope of San Francisco Bay Area organizations.
