Participate in supportive networking opportunities with colleagues who are involved with affinity group work in schools. This event is open to anyone who is "doing the work" and actively involved with their institution's affinity group(s). Whether your school is just beginning the conversation, or is looking to grow a current program, please join us for an exciting event.
Our focus for this year’s workshop will be to, as educators, explore our affinities and dominant identities to recognize how much we enrich our schools and ways that we move in and out of privilege.
Schedule: 9:30-10:00 AM Registration and light refreshments 10:00-11:45 AM Session I: Alison Park, Blink! Consulting 12:00-1:00 PM Lunch 1:00-2:00 PM Session II: TBD
To register or submit a workshop proposal, send an email to affinity@rdschool.org with your name, title, school, and areas of affinity. There is no cost to attend this workshop. Lunch will be provided (if you have special dietary needs or restrictions, please notify us and we will try to accommodate your needs).
We look forward to seeing you at RDS in April!
