Together, Judy Schechtman, Marc Frankel,Pat Bassett, Rich Odell, and David Ottaviano know more independent andinternational school leaders than anyone else. Our experience, plus theindustry firsts of culture assessment, personality profiling, and executivecoaching (all built into the search contract), mean we do searchdifferently than anyone else.<o:p></o:p>
We take the time to study ourclients, using state-of-the-science tools to measure school culture. No oneknows as many schools as we do, and no one listens as deeply and carefully towhat stakeholders say.<o:p></o:p>
For schools seeking leaders: We build a candidate pool by mining our database and throughpersonal contact with hundreds of leaders. We shake the trees hard, and thenapply an industry-leading combination of interviews and psychometric assessmentfrom clinically-trained experts to gauge goodness-of-fit.<o:p></o:p>
For candidates seeking headships andother senior leadership roles: We educate while we cultivate: Each month of the process we send tocandidates and search committees a monograph on an element of executivesearches, on topics such as leadership style; the intersection of leadershipstyle with school culture; typical interview questions (and those that areimpermissible); etc. We also send the searchcommittee’s timeline so candidates actually know and can anticipate decisionpoints in the process.
