Job Description/Responsibilities:

Admission Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

This staff member works closely with the Admissions team. The Admission Reception area is often a hub of activity and it is the first impression many prospective families have of CGPS, it is imperative to have a keen eye for detail, a welcoming and calm demeanor, and the ability to multitask.


  • Work with the database, maintaining files and answer questions;

  • Manage event registration;

  • Manage file maintenance, upload information;

  • Answering phone calls in a pleasant, professional, and informed manner; providing; information to the callers, screening/forwarding calls to the appropriate individuals;

  • Greets all individuals entering the building respectfully and professionally; monitoring visitor access’;

  • Assist the Admission Team as needed at events;

  • Answers questions and/or directs the questioner to the appropriate person/department;

  • Maintains a tidy and professional space at the front desk at all times;

  • Manages tour guide meet and greet;

  • Maintains the first-floor reception areas;

  • Notify the personnel/ department if there is an issue with cleanliness/supplies/etc.;

  • General office duties as assigned.

Work Hours

  • Monday through Friday 40hrs per week

Minimum Experience: 1-3 Years



  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office

  • Veracross experience preferred;

  • Ability to learn new software quickly, attentive to detail, accurate, data-oriented;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for interacting with the School's diverse constituencies;

  • A cooperative team approach, good sense of humor and willingness to take on responsibilities beyond those explicitly defined;

  • Interest in, and preferably experience with, basic online research;

  • Willingness to provide one's own general clerical support;

  • Dependable with respect to confidentiality and policies.
